Vulnerable Services Delivery – (NDIS, DVA & MY AGED CARE)
The Australian Values Party believes that there is the opportunity for more effective and efficient claims and payment processing services, including shared technologies, across the NDIA, Department of Veterans’ Affairs and the Department of Health. The AVP will campaign for the Productivity Commission to investigate this in seeking opportunities for more effective efficiencies within the duplicated bureaucratic and technology systems of the associated agencies and departments.
The outcomes we are seeking to achieve are twofold:
- More effective and less complicated service delivery for vulnerable Australians.
- Cost effectiveness and economic saving for the Australian Taxpayer through the removal of duplicate delaying bureaucratic processes and/or positions.
The Australian Values Party has also been made aware of widespread price gouging and exploitation of service and equipment provision costs across the NDIS, Veterans Affairs’ and My Aged Care services at the service provider level. We will work to review current legislation and seek greater provisions for regulation and accountability of service providers looking to exploit commonwealth expenditure including assessments into the payment and support to carers.
Policies serving Australians
The purpose of the Australian Values Party is to promote a government with a sense of responsibility and accountability to the Australian people, to protect the Australian values and promote the welfare of our Australian people.
