It's time to stop seesawing between the Left and Right wings of politics.

AVP is here to bring balance back into the Centre of Politics. We must be more pragmatic in developing, deciding and reviewing policies based on their merit and the impact they will have on the lives of all Australians at the grassroots level.

Policies must focus on serving and supporting the Australian people - not political parties or personal agendas.

Policies serving all Australians

AVP will approach all policies, unprecedented events and issues by focusing on the facts and what is best for the future of Australia. We must be relevant and ready to embrace all opportunities that support us in this process.

Government & Media Accountability

AVP commits to ensure that each of these critical issues are addressed in order to bring about transparent accountability and measures to ensure this accountability remains.

Government Structure

We must critically review our system of government to provide a structure of government suitable to meet the Nation’s future needs.

Defence

The defence of Australia, our people and our way of life are fundamental responsibilities of the Federal Government.

Veterans

Defence and Veterans are principle policy focus areas for the AVP. We will work to better support our human workforce, who are the foundation of our National Security.

Foreign Affairs

Australia’s Foreign Policy should have a focus on bolstering our national security by building and maintaining alliances with regional powers that mutually support our strategic objectives.

Border Protection & Biosecurity (including COVID)

Protection of our native flora and fauna is fundamental to the future of our agricultural and fishing sectors.

Energy

We need to harness all available technologies to ensure stable, cheap and cleaner energy for all Australians long into the future.

Health-website

Health, Medicare & Medication

COVID highlighted many of the ongoing issues within our existing health system. We must take immediate action to address these issues at the federal level.

Community-website

Australian Community Development Opportunity Policy (ACDOP)

State and Federal Governments must invest in the development of social support projects and initiatives for parents and families.

Housing-website

Housing Affordability & Cost of Living

The AVP recognises that housing affordability and the cost of living is an important factor linked not only with making life enjoyable, but also in relation to sustaining our economy.

Education (Schooling, Tertiary & Trades)

Our school systems are in regular conflict with conversations and policies concerning fundamental skills and ideology based topics creating this tension.

Olympics website

Brisbane Olympics 2032

The AVP commits to establishing federally funded Sporting & Athletic Excellence Programs, improving positive physical and mental health development.

Remote and rural

Remote & Rural Australia

As a nation, we have immense opportunities in the further development and innovation of our rural industries including agriculture, manufacturing, energy and other resource developments.

Humanitarian Policy Cover (1)

Disaster Relief & Humanitarian Assistance

One key immediate Policy objective of the Australian Values Party is the formation of a ‘Peace Corps’ and ‘National Guard’ like capability as the central element of our nation’s crisis response capabilities.

Telecomms policy (1)

Telephone & Internet

Equality of opportunity for all Australians in the 21st century means that everyone should be able to access Telehealth, online education and call for help if it’s needed.

Gun-Law-Image-1-1

Gun Laws & Firearm Ownership

AVP supports responsible firearms ownership, in accordance with current legislation that allows law abiding Australians to own and access firearms.

Agriculture & Manufacturing

The economic and defence security of Australia depends, to a large extent, on strong manufacturing and agricultural sectors.

Climate & Environment Sustainability

Regardless of where you sit with climate change – we could all be doing more and better support the countries within our region to do so as well.

Flags

Real Reconciliation

Commitment to work with community leaders across indigenous and non-indigenous communities with the focus on bringing about responsible reconciliation that will unite and empower our nation and all its people.

AVP socials-12 (1)

Abortion

Per the first Australian Value – Respect for the Freedom and Dignity of the Individual, which includes personal choice and the freedom for Australians to make their own health decisions – the Australian Values Party believes that a mother has the right to make her own health decisions and carry the responsibilities of her decisions.

Genetic-Cover-1

Genetic Manipulation

Genetic Manipulation has the potential to bring both benefit and harm. The Australian Values Party will consider all policies regarding genetic manipulation on a case-by-case basis, drawing on our Values Statement to assess the merits of each case.

National Security Languages

The interpreting and translating profession in Australia plays an integral part in realising Australia’s interconnectedness and cohesiveness, bridging the communication gap enabling the Australian community to move forward with a common purpose and understanding.

Aged Care (1)

Aged Care

The AVP recognises that our elders, who helped make Australia to be what it is today, deserve better than what our current systems provide. The number of pension aged Australians is set to double in the next 40 years, so we need to take action now.

NDIS

NDIS & the Disability Support Pension

NDIS is not welfare, and the Australian Values Party completely understands this. We have included these two areas within one policy approach as there are common issues and opportunities to better support a more enjoyable way of life for Australians on or in receipt of either or both.

Vulneralble services (1)

Vulnerable Services Delivery – (NDIS, DVA & MY AGED CARE)

The Australian Values Party believes that there is the opportunity for more effective and efficient claims and payment processing services for our vulnerable.

Equality Cover (1)

Equality of Opportunity

Equality of opportunity for all Australians means bridging the gaps wherever they are found. The rates of Mental Health, Suicide, Substance Abuse, Homelessness and Sexually Transmitted Diseases are consistently above the national community averages within some of our communities and this must be better addressed.
